Eon By Alison Goodman

RECOMMENDED BY LIAM R.

Bow down, for you are about to be brought to a land, not unlike ancient China, upon reading the first words of this intricately woven story. You will learn of eleven dragoneyes using their dragons’ energy to help society, but are being slowly leached of their Hua, or life energy in return for the glorious power.  The one catch is, only boys are allowed to become dragoneyes.  Experience this magical tale through Eona, a crippled girl masquerading as a boy with the hope of receiving the power of a dragoneye and know the sensation of a not-put-down-able book.  But beware, for all is not quite as it seems.
