Peter The Great by Robert K. Massie

RECOMMENED BY WILL B.

Peter The Great is an engrossing novel by, possibly, the best biographical writer of our time. The book not only tells of the exploits of the great tsar peter, but of all major events of his lifespan in Europe and elsewhere. Form the founding of St. Petersburg, to the Charles XII’s Norwegian campaign, to the Great Northern War, this artwork of nonfiction will consume your mind each page you read. Even if you have a distaste for biographical or nonfictional texts, know that this book is not written in the boring textbook fashion, but in an exiting and fluent way that allows one to understand Peter’s era. If you like to what you are reading, but find people are not interested in fictional events, then peter the great, with its detailed accounts of battles and political affairs, will allow you to interest people with real facts.
